Dreams

"Dreams" - Fleetwood Mac

About a half an hour ago, I was telling myself it was going to be a late night.  I thought I'd watch a cheesy movie and relax for a bit.  And now here I am, yawning every other minute.  Ready for bed.  Ready for a night of dreams.
I know pregnancy can cause wacky dreams. But lemme tell you, lately, I wake up
and I feel like a lunatic (or maybe just more of a lunatic).  I guess my mega elevated progesterone is the culprit.
Last week, I dreamt I was Drew Barrymore and on a hot date with Aaron Eckhart. (not complaining)
Last night, I dreamt I bought a ton of baby clothes and came home to find no clothes in my bags.
And instead, tons of lipstick and eyeshadow in very vibrant shades. (this might really happen someday)
I wake up most mornings and feel cloudy and somewhat delirious.
But I kinda like it.
Symptoms are good. They help keep my mind from wandering and worrying.

That is my goal this weekend - to not let worry interfere.  To keep positive. To not think about our ultrasound on Monday to the point of working myself up.
And to take a weekend with nothing to do and fill it with simple joys.

The past few weeks have flown by.  I really don't know where July went.
With filling in for my boss while he was away...being a cleaning machine this last half of the month has made me appreciate sleep more.
And with that,
I should say good night and head to dreamland.

Before I go...
Tons of memories from the past week and a half.

Friday's sky

A night with Miss Gina <3
fun catching up
and talking about the past, present, and future.

A visit from my brother, Nicholas <3
(and his new ride)

Celebrating Kim's Birthday <3

over breakfast and a few cups of decaf.

Visiting my step-sister and her family <3
Aubrey was ready for some camera snapping.
She even had a wardrobe change.

Taking my first paint class.<3
Along with my mom and Kelly.
It was so much fun to get lost in it for a few hours.

I called it - I knew my perfectionist mom would be the last lady at the table. :)

Afterwards, Jessica and I spent the night in the company of these two babes and their baby brother, while their mama and dad had a date night. <3

There were bubbles.

And swingin' and singin'.

And snoozin'.

They wanted inside Mimi's purse.
So, we played makeup.

Addison made me a true crazy cat lady.

And after some popcorn and pjs, it was...
Bedtime.

And another dose of the K family. <3

I chowed down on Taco Bell for the first time in two months.
(that's a VERY long time for me!)

Vania and I took a drive to downtown Lancaster. <3
She introduced me to a lot of awesome new places.

Horsies n' buggies were everywhere.

We found a quiet and cute cafe for a round of tarragon chicken salad sandwiches.

Bumped into a bunch of bedazzled and fun pianos.

Had toasted coconut ice cream at an adorable and bright spot.

Passed by lotsa pretty flowers.

I found earrings to match em' at a sweet vintage shop in town.

Good night and Happy Weekend, friends.
Thank you.  Always. <3

I'll be back next week with an update.  Hopefully (and faithfully)
with a lot to keep on smiling about. <3

OH ME OH MY!! The very first thing I'm going to comment on is THOSE EARRINGS!!! Oh holy crap! They are awesome. The next think I'll comment on is the horse and buggy! THERE ARE REAL AMISH PEOPLE IN THERE, DRIVING THOSE THINGS! HA HA! You included some really gorgeous pictures into this post. I enjoyed looking at the wonderful past week you've had. Don't worry about your ultrasound on Monday. All will be well. We're all praying for you. In the meantime, relax and breathe deeply and enjoy your weekend! I LOVE YOU!!!!

I agree w/ Aleisha that they are the most awesome earrings. I can't wait to hear how your u/s goes Monday. Once again, I'll be stalking the blog, but if you get a chance email me so I don't feel like a crazy stalker. LOL!!!

I mentioned to John that you guys had talked about going to the Outer Banks sometime in the next few years and he is up for a trip. I know that you are going to be swamped w/ baby stuff, but at that point, Celia will think she is your LO's mommy. LOL!!!

Since we are both being vampires tonight, I'll let your pregnant butt go to bed, missy.

xoxo,
Joy

Hey pretty lady, you know you need your beauty sleep if you are to stay as beautiful as you are!! It doesn't work for me but there is still hope lol
You all did such a fantastic job with the paintings! They look awesome!!
Great pics as usual, you guys are so busy and sociable all the time, I feel so boring in comparison hehehe
Sweet dreams friend, can you please dream that I am Matthew McConaughey's wife (pretty please?)

Beautiful earrings! Sending you sticky vibes for your scan. I kept my eyes closed for the first part of mine. The only thing that helped me

Sorry - the only thing that helped me stay calm in the waiting room was doing some breathing exercises (which I used again during labour).

I have such a good feeling for you that this is going to work out and pretty soon the pictures you are going to post will be of you and YOUR baby!
I had crazy dreams too - the most memorable was fighting of a full grown lion in our back yard with a garden hose! because, you know, that's reasonable...ha!
I didn't notice the earings...now I have to go back and look! (of course I don't usually notice things like that but so many of your commenters have mentioned them...)...ok, I'm back - and they are very pretty indeed! :)
Have a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to hear your great news next week about your u/s!

Thank you for your sweet words on my blog. Have a wonderful weekend, Maria!

I freaking love Taco Bell, and I have been indulging in it way too often lately :-/

Looking forward to hearing about your appointment on Monday!

I know what you mean about July flying by! I feel like time needs to slow down just a little bit :)
I never really had "crazy" dreams while pregnant, but that could be because I tend to have fairly odd dreams anyways lol but my pregnancy dreams were much more vivid and realistic.
And while I agree symptoms are good, keep in mind you don't need overboard symptoms for a healthy successful pregnancy. I would get my self so worked up if I had a good day and hubby was constantly trying to calm my worries.
I hope you are having a carefree and relaxing weekend and enjoying being pregnant <3 I will be eagerly waiting for an update after Mondays scan. I'm still shocked there was only one... Maybe they missed a couple lol. ;)
Love your pictures as always, love the colour of your brothers new car! Love your painting (you guys did so good!)

Hi there Maria,
As always very beautiful pictures! It is great that you get to have such wonderful times with family and friends. Wow! It is really cool that you and your mom went to a painting class. You both did a great job! I can't believe that I did Art in high school!:) Maybe I should have a go at it one of these days. I note that you will have an ultrasound tomorrow. Don't worry my friend. Many of us are praying for you and wishing you all the very best. The food you have been enjoying makes me so hungry! I could do with some of the Toasted coconut ice-cream! That must taste yummy. Take good care and as always I wish you and Steve so much happiness. Lots of Love and Friendship always!

Maria, I am so happy for you momma :) You have never given up and you seriously give me the hope to someday be a mom as well. I gave up before I even tried really, but now I am on a mission to make it happen and go see the doctor and see what can be done. Thank you for your courage and your drive -- and for sharing it with all of us :) I know I haven't been commenting, but your blog is one that I check regularly :) Hope all is well with you and your family :)
