Little Bit Of Everything

*Before I unload a trillion and five memories, I want to thank everyone for all of the kind and thoughtful comments and emails you've sent my way these past couple months.
It's been a roller coaster.  And I appreciate the love and continued prayers for my father and family.
Even through the most trying of times, I feel very blessed.  Thank you. <3

And now for a nice, big, fat, catching up
post...

"Little Bit Of Everything" - Keith Urban

Good Morning.  Happy Hump Day.  Happy August.
August?!  What the heck?!  Where is this summer going?
Luckily, summer is my least favorite season.  Yes, you heard that right.
I have to admit, though, now that Piper is in my life, summer will be just a wee bit more
appealing to me.

Catching up...
Oh, there was so much catching up to do.

So, here's about ten posts in one...

I'll keep it down to mostly captions.
Okay, I probably won't.
I'm excited to have included memories from all the way up to this past weekend.

I'm in the office right now.
And this little munchkinhead is in her nursery right across from me.

She's in her crib.  And she's been in there for 7 hours and 39 minutes.  But who's counting?

In my next post (Piper's four month post), I'll be updating about all the new things going on in the land of Pip.  Crib transitioning and teething, just to name a few.

It's past four in the morning.  And I'm wide awake.  Mooncheekins is sproutin' two teeth and they like to come out to play late at night.  Their names are Herbie and Bernie.

Please forgive my delirium.  I've been on 2-5 hours (broken up) of sleep a night, lately.

There's so much I could say about every single memory (photo)...
I'll say that our daughter continues to bring us more joy than anything else in this world.
And that though there is still hurt in my heart, there is so much love.  More than enough to carry me through the tough times.

These photos and the beautiful people in them serve as a reminder and give me strength.

Memories...

Celebrating Kelly's birthday...
Gosh, this seems like so long ago.  It kinda was.  It was the first of July.
We celebrated with spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parmesan, red wine and tiramisu.
We gabbed the night away and were one of the last tables to leave.
Of course, it was a wonderful girls' night.

Make a wish, birthday girl!

I promise, the dirty martini we shared had nothing to do with this next round of photos...

I am laughing out loud at this photo.
After reminiscing about our beach trip from a decade ago, we were inspired to recreate moments from our drive home.  Like, when my boredom got the best of me while stuck in crazy traffic.  Kelly was driving, Jessica was in the backseat with a sprained ankle, and I was tired of sitting still.  So, I stuffed an obscene amount of tissues up my nose and put underwear (not the ones I was wearing) on my head (and pulled my hair through the legs of 'em).  And then patiently waited to grab the attention of the car next to us.

I added the lemon for fun.  The napkin on Kelly's head is supposed to be my underwear, in case you were wondering.

This photo was taken after Jessica said "Um, there is not one normal picture of you guys yet!"

<3 them!

This was right before my first night back at cleaning.
Cleaning is going great.  It's so flexible and allows me to have some "quiet time" and Steve to have some Daddy/Pippy time.

Cousin, Ashley, came to visit.
Pips was showin' off her moves...

I found some new ways to make Piper giggle.
Don't ask me what I'm doing here...but she seems to like it!

There was more celebrating to do for Jessica's May birthday...
She came over and we had take-out and ice cream.

Piper joined us for a quick midnight snack.

She was sad we didn't share our Raspberry Truffle and Guatemalan Ripple with her.
This was the second time we teased her with those tempting flavors.

Ending our night late and sweet! <3

Playdate with Mr. Henry <3

She's totally flippin' the bird again.

Girls' night while Daddy was at a work dinner

Mommy was sad that the cake was half the size it usually is.
I actually got out of the tub to tell Steve that.  Naked, of course.

I was hanging Piper's clothes, when I turned to find Muffin enjoying herself.
She so wishes she was still the baby.

Pre-bath fun with Dee Dee!

Happy 30th birthday to Kim! <3

out to brunch

When I'm cleaning, Steve always sends me pictures of him and Pips.
This one made me almost cry.
This was right before they went to the grocery store together.
I can't take it.

Weekend mornings in bed are usually full of cheer.
(and sometimes baby poo!)

Kim's surprise party...
Piper patiently waited for her Aunt Kim to show up.
She was all smiles until everyone yelled "Surprise!"  The "Piper pout" came out in full effect.
It, of course, was adorable!
Kim was super surprised!

Pippy was a party hoppin' fool that Saturday.
Next up, was celebrating Chlo-Chlo turnin' three!

B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

The art of eating a cupcake...

Super Pips

Chloe's face is amazing!

Baby Aiden...just two days old.
Holding him gave me butterflies.

Deeds watched Piper while we visited the new bundle.
They had a blast together, as always.

Piper is madly in love with Sophie!
Thank you, again, Brittany!! <3

"Back off my giraffe, Mama!"

Morning Moonchie faces...

So this video is probably one of my favorites so far...
My gassy, GASSY girl.  I love the startled look on her face when I start laughing!

"Wait, what?!"

Babysitting at Kelly's.  All four babes slept.

Daxon sharing a secret with Pips

A walk in the park with my Moonchie <3

A girls' night while Mr. had a boys' night

Dee Dee, me and Piper did some shopping <3

Pretty, little bracelet from Deeds!

Nappin' in her cribby

Piper loves loves loves Mr. Belafonte the elephante.  Although, maybe not so much in those last two photos.  It was one of her first toys from Dee Dee.

I love moments like these.

We went to see Uncle Nicholas play a couple Friday nights ago.
Piper was mesmerized by his music.
She couldn't take her eyes off of him.
It was a sweet, memorable night.  I can't wait for more like it.

Aunt Jen and Uncle Sean visited <3

Piper's all ready for the fair!

She slept for the first half of the night and when she woke up, she couldn't take her eyes off of all the sights (and lights).  Lemme tell ya, people watching was at its best.

"Hey, Daddy, whaddya say you get Pips here some funnel cake?!  My tummy can handle it!"

"Um, HELLO, MOMMY!!!  Pips back here would like a taste!"

Eyein' up our goods!

Fun with Daddy <3

horsey-in-the-box from Dee Dee <3

Last week, Piper and I spotted some pretty sunflowers at the grocery store.  She asked me to surprise Dee Dee with them, so I knocked on Deeds' door, set Pips down on her doorstep and hid by the side of her house.

Dee Dee had her own surprise for Pippy - another pool...this time one at her house.
She had a sweet lil' bathing suit waiting for her, too!

Peace, dudes!!

Piper is such a water baby.  She is so content in the water.  She must have been in the pool for at least 40 minutes.

Piper loves the trees!

Nighttime stroll <3

When Piper was born, Kelly surprised me with a gift card for a pedicure.
My barkin' dogs finally put it to good use last week.
Piper got all ready to go over Aunt Kelly's.

She doesn't leave the house without Sophie or Loveybear.

Pips was all smiles upon arrival and for the first half of her visit.
And was all tears and then a snooze for the second half.

She gnaws on my hands and fingers any chance she gets.

Afternoon sillies...
(In the second video, I put the video of her giggling on the computer.  She was cracking up at it..  It was too stinkin' cute!)

Breakfast at Station Bistro.  We hadn't been there since Piper's one month birthday.
Pips loved seeing Kelly and the babes again.  And she can't wait until she can taste grits!

a lil' snooze at Dee Dee's

Celebrating lots of happiness at Jessica's new home <3

I'm gonna go catch a shower and a pot cup of coffee before Piper wakes up.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday!  I'll be back sometime this weekend with Piper's
four month post.

<3<3<3

Holy long post! It must have taken forever to load all those pics!

Piper is beautiful. Love that she looks at the camera so much. I think Kaylin has it figured out and no longer wants to smile when I stick a black box in her face. :)

Glad mammahood is treating you so well. Continuing to pray for your dad!

Love,
Heather

Maria, you have such a fun personality! Love the pictures, feels like I am a part of all the fun. Piper is getting cuter and cuter, who even knew it was possible?! Really though, she is. I hope that Herbie and Bernie break through and make there appearance soon. Poor baby and poor momma! If I were there I would come over to play with her so you could take a nap. I want to tell you that I admire you so much. You are such an amazing person! love you!

Sometimes I feel like we're the same person (even down to our birthdays! ;) ). Love your honesty about "keeping it to captions" and then "well, probably not". We don't want just the captions... you're too funny to give us "just the captions"!! ...love that you knew Piper's sleeping down to the minute (I guarantee I will do this when I am a mom!) ... Love that you guys took Piper to the fair, and love the way she got googly eyes over the funnel cake (smart girl). I really wish I lived closer so I could come snuggle that sweet lil girl and hug your neck! Hope you, Steve, and sweet Piper are having a great weekend, Maria!

Piper Pout had me giggling!! I know I keep saying this, but she is the most adorable little girl. The clothes you have on her are very cute too! It makes me wish I had a little girl… but nope, I am stuck with three boys. LOL
Have a good upcoming week!!

And, oh, my goodness! So many birthdays, hahaha!
