Early Mornin'

Good morning.  I just put Piper back down.  She's been sleeping like a little champ lately.
But tonight this very early morning, she woke up with a mean case of gas.
After many rounds of "Hush Little Pippy Baby," my six week old little babe is fast asleep,
swaddled in her bumble bee blanket.
Just sitting here in the office, with the house so quiet and the sun still an hour away from rising, makes me crave one of those nights/early mornings where I sit and type until my heart's content.

My heart...
It's already so content.
And I look forward to picking a time later this week to visit this sweet little virtual "room."
A room that I know I can come to always...
A room where I can spill my emotions
and reflect on love and life.

I've taken over a thousand photos in the past two weeks.
Some of my favorites from Piper's week four to five...

Daddy's home!

A walk with Dee Dee...

"Hiya!  I'm sweepin' but I still gotsa wave (and a funny face) for ya!"

Piper's one month birthday began with (her very first) breakfast at Station B with Kelly and Daxon.

We didn't let the fact that they were outta grits get us down.
There was celebratin' to do.

Piper was happy to meet one of her many new boyfriends.
Pipsy and Daxon are exactly ten months apart.

Piper was so excited, she had a blowout (right on Aunt Kelly)!

Cupcakes and one month photos as seen in last post...

"My mama is loca!"

We went down the street to Aunt Kim and Uncle Adam's house for dinner.
Kim made fabulous enchiladas.

"Mom, I'm not so sure about this big, fluffy thing.  I've never seens me one before."

She loves sleeping on Uncle Adam.

Bedtime babe

Mornings with Daddy

One month doctor's visit

We went to lunch afterwards.  Piper woke up as soon as our food arrived.
She wanted a taste of our "bee sting" wings.

A beautiful day for a long walk...

Ice cream dates are our new favorite

Sleepy, cuddly mornings aren't too shabby either.

Bathtime never gets old.  Is it weird that I get excited when Piper has an extreme blowout?!
It means I get to see this little sweetie enjoy some extra splish splashin'
while she munches her hands and relaxes her little body in the warm water.

It also means I get to see this...
I sent this photo to my mom with the words "Pop!  Pop!  Pop!" attached.
She asked what "Pop!  Pop!  Pop!" meant.
Pop...it means I'm exploding and that the cuteness factor is on overload.

Posin' for some pics in her pretty dress from Dee Dee

Dee Dee came over with a lil' somethin' for Mooncheekins.

balloon reflection <3

These were my ruffle-butt tights from thirty years ago.

Sleeping beauty

First Friday coffee with Dee Dee and Daddy

Twinkie knows my mom will always give him treats.

"I is strong!"

Steve and Piper kinda matched.  A great reason to snap more photos.

They watched t.v. together.
I could have "Pop!  Pop!" popped (I totally just accidentally typed "pooped."  I could have probably done that too)!

This photo cracks me up.

Theresa, Andy, A.J. and Christian came to visit.
Theresa brought over a homemade feast of spicy tequila shrimp, pulled pork, pasta salad and brownies.  We spent the night catching up, playing with Pips and watching "Wreck it Ralph."

A.J. was in love with Piper.

Christian loved Twinkie's bed.

My big baby

POP!  Happy tears.  POP!

Walkin'...

A second Sunday stroll (this time, with Dee Dee) ended with Mommy dropping her phone on the sidewalk.  I picked it up to find the screen looking like a spiderweb.

That would be Dee Dee laughing at me.

We both couldn't help but laugh.
The very same spot she's standing in (where my phone dropped) is the exact same spot I decided to jam our SUV window earlier that week.
Hey, I forgot all about the new "baby shade" Daddy had just attached
as I went to let the window down so Piper could say "Good night!" to Deeds one last time.
Luckily, we had insurance on my phone. And super mega luckily, Daddy didn't murder Mommy for the window jam. He just stayed up for hours fixing it (and ordering a new piece) for it, through grunts and 845 head shakes.  Dee Dee babysat Piper while I drove home with the 45 degree air blowin' in my face.  I couldn't have my little Pipsy blow away and freeze on our drive home.

Finally, home.  Snuggly.  And warm.

We love our nights.  It's never too late for playtime.

And that's be all for now, folks!

I'll be seein' ya later this week.

Piper and I wish you a totally awesome week, dudes!! <3

"Thanks for the sweet shades and hat, Dee Dee!"

Hi my friend! I was just catching up with you posts. You make me smile, choke up, and relate to you so much. What you wrote about patience -- I so very much feel the same way. Though our situations are/were different, I feel as though we really connect through that.

I'm so glad to see that things are going so great! I absolutely LOVE looking at pictures of sweet Piper with her awesome mommy and daddy.

Hope you have a great holiday weekend!

Look at her in her sunglasses and hat lol Piper is just the most adorable little thing and I love getting my fix of her on IG everyday!! I am just so sorry that I haven't been a frequent visitor here lately, I have been losing my way with my blog for a few months, just life getting in the way. But I have made the most amazing friendships through it all so I refuse to give it up!! And now I have this sweet baby girl to watch grow. Have a beautiful day Maria xoxo
